A smart classroom, with a touchscreen digital board, was introduced at Municipal Boot School (Ngaratchi Thuvakka Palli) in Melakadayanallur.

This  smart school initiative Launched to improve the quality of education and to counter the competition from private schools has been a success.

The move is a part of the steps to be taken by the school to digitise its Classrooms. This School also ensures the safety of the Students and Teachers with CCTV Surveillance System.

The School Head Master Mr.M.P Manimaran thanked our Government of Tamil Nadu and Kadayanallur Municipality for providing all the basic requirements for the school and students and also for their excellent support in establishing the Smart classrooms.

He asked the Parents and students to utilise the opportunity in a great way. Even the students from neighbouring village started to come to this School in order to get the exposure of the smart classrooms, he added.

Special emphasis has been laid on ensuring that these classrooms to provide accurate information to the students and make the learning easier.

The classrooms would also offer 3-D animations, graphs, animated videos to teach all subjects, including Tamil and English, besides providing virtual laboratories for learning science.

 A diverse array of learning prospects allows both students and teachers to learn concurrently.

With smart classrooms, truncated cost science kits, cooperating content for different subjects, exclusive library programs, interschool competitions for cross-school learning and contact to digital structure under its scope, the Smart Classroom model provides an excess of options that allow children to explore, research and determine learning in multiple ways.

The Smart Classrooms have the following features:

• Benches
• Flooring

Special emphasis has been laid on ensuring that these classrooms provide accurate information to the students and makes the learning easier. The idea behind this initiative was to bring students closer to technology and use it to improve learning methodologies and outcomes.

 As part of their efforts to inculcate in students the appreciation of and respect for India's rich heritage and diversity, and also to reinforce in them national pride and respect for all, the school celebrates a number of functions including Pongal celebration, Independence Day, Ganapati Pooja, Teachers' Day, Diwali, Eid, Christmas and Republic Day.
